From the Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department,
First hands on training for the six junior firefighters of the Wellsville Fire Department.
Juniors were assigned some temporary fire gear until funds are raised to purchase them gear to fit them. Junior firefighters learned how the new SCBA’s work, how to change out bottles, what hand tools are what, and what they’re used for, how to roll hose, stretch hose lines from the engine, hose line operations, and loading the hose trays on Wellsville 2.
Thank you to the 14 firefighters who came and assisted, and participated in today’s training.
