Resident thanks Code Enforcement Officer for cleaning up the Village of Wellsville

Pictured is the blighted property at 63 Seneca Street,

I’d like to thank our Village Code Enforcement Officer Jo Fenske for the outstanding positive changes she’s made in Wellsville since her reappointment to this position at the end of last year.

Properties on East State Street, Maple Avenue, South Brooklyn Ave, Pine St and South Main St are some of the locations I’ve noticed that have been drastically cleaned up or have at least had yards mowed to the village requirements. She’s condemned properties that should be demolished (63 Seneca St) and is continuing the process to legally bring these properties down, both for the appearance of our neighborhoods and the safety of our citizens.

I’d like to also thank the “Good Samaritan” Fire Chief Winans said might show up to mow that property. Amazingly one did!

Both your actions are gratefully appreciated.

Thank you again,

Cassandra Hawley
