Allegany County District Attorney indicts Rushford man for assaulting NYS Trooper

Defendant’s Name:  Donald Potts

Address:  Rushford, New York       

Charges:      Assault 2nd (class C felony)
Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor)            

Court Appearance Date:  July 24, 2024

Proceedings:  Donald Potts has been indicted by a grand jury for Assault in the 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest.  Potts is accused of a roadside physical confrontation with a New York State Trooper on June 21st in the Town of Rushford.  During the incident, the officer suffered a broken nose.  Potts will be arraigned on the indictment in County Court on August 29th.
