33-year police veteran retires in Cuba NY

Jim Galatio served the community for 32 years

Investigator Jim Galatio has been serving with the Cuba Police Department full time since 1990 when he graduated from Genesee Community College and the Rural Police Training Academy. Investigator Galatio was appointed a patrolman in 1990 and promoted to explosive detection K-9 Officer in 2013. Investigator Galatio was promoted to Investigator in 2020 and oversaw investigations at the Cuba Police Department. Galatio’s duties at the police department are: background investigations, major crimes investigations and sex offender management. From the Cuba PD Facebook page:
