By a vote of 40 -1 the members present of First Baptist Church of Cuba, Ny have called Rev. Tenorris (TJ) Davis as their next Senior Pastor. Rev. Davis will be splitting time between Cuba and his home in Indiana until he can move here full-time. Until then Rev Davis is expected to be in Cuba about once a month to preach and provide pastoral care.

Rev. Davis graduated from Selma University with a degree in pastoral ministry and received his Bible and Theology BS from Indiana Wesleyan. He currently lives in Indiana with his wife and their two daughters. When Davis first came to visit our area, he was quickly impressed with what Cuba could offer his family, a safe space to put down roots, raise his children, and build something extraordinary. The church was also quickly impressed with Rev. Davis’s intelligence, humor, numerous creative ideas, and his obvious love for the Lord. He is a visionary who sees a bright future for First Baptist and Cuba, NY. From our first conversations with him, we all felt he was the person God has prepared to be our next pastor.

Rev. Davis brings skills in preaching and teaching from the Bible, a strong heart for pastoral care and relationships, leadership experience in the local church and associations, and a dynamic vision that includes serving the community around the church and sharing God’s love. First Baptist is excited about the future and invites to come and see. Rev Davis is scheduled to preach in Cuba next on November 26th, all are welcome.
