What should have been a nice run down to a festival in Butler, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, turned into a nightmare and all three “Riders” are still faced with an expensive medical battle. Read the story from the local news outlet on the accident:
The three who are lucky to have survived are still fighting to recover. Representatives from the American Legion Riders report that:
“Lynda Stark is doing really well, as she was in the Hospital only a couple weeks and then went home to continue physical therapy. Bev Nye was released to Highland Park Rehab and Nursing Center here in Wellsville after a four week period in Pittsburg. Ron Nye her husband was released yesterday(8.7.22) and brought up from Pittsburg to Highland Park; both have along road ahead of them. “
The Morrison Hayes Post 702 of the American Legion and its auxiliary groups are well known for helping out those in need and they have a great fundraiser coming up to help. Tickets for the $1000 prize are on sale at the Legion or from any member of the American Legion Riders. Only $20 for a chance at $1000 !!
