Wellsville American Legion Riders seriously injured in motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania

Reports of a serious accident near Butler, Pennsylvania involving three members of the Wellsville based, American Legion Riders, a philanthropic motorcycle club affiliated with the Morrison Hayes Post 702.

According to the Butler Eagle, two “Trike” style motorcycles were struck by a van while traveling on Route 8 in Butler. The “Riders” were traveling from Wellsville to the Butler Bikes and BBQ festival.

Based on comments from the American Legion Riders Post 702, the three members suffered various serious injuries. The Riders report:

“…it will be a long haul for the three that were injured. Three members were not involved but the last three in line at the stop sign were T boned by a van. Please respect their privacy.”

Butler area motorcycle ABATE motorcycle club members showed solidarity with the Wellsville riders:

Shera Woods-Frobe posted this on Facebook last night:

“On behalf of Butler County A.B.A.T.E of PA we wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to the motorcyclists involved in this accident.”
