All arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Thursday February 24, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Chad R. Matthews, age 28 of Little Genesee, charging him with Sex Abuse 2nd. The charge stems from an incident that took place on Madison Street in January of 2022. Matthews was processed and arraigned before Associate Wellsville Village Justice Walsh. Matthews was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $250.00 cash bail, $1,000.00 property bond or $2,000.00 partially secured bond. Matthews is due back in Wellsville Village Court on March 15th at 4:30 pm.

Friday February 25, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested a female, age 33 of Wellsville, charging her with Criminal Mischief 4th and Harassment 2nd. The charges stem from an incident that took place on Pleasant Street in the Village. She was issued and appearance ticket and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on March a15th at 4:30 pm.

Friday February 25, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 30 of Wellsville, charging him with Petit Larceny. The charge stems from an incident that took place at the 7-Eleven on February 24th. He was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on March 15th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested a female, age 31 of Wellsville, charging her with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th. The charges stem from an incident that took place on the Bolivar Road. She was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on March 15th at 4:30 pm.

Saturday February 26, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Grace J. Menter, age 22 of Friendship, charging her with Grand Larceny 3rd (Class D Felony). The charges stem from an investigation into the theft of money from a business in January and February of 2022. Menter was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Menter was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on March 15th at 4:30 pm.
