Early Voting Data Shows Low Turnout

The Allegany County Board of Elections held nine early voting events at both Belmont and Wellsville locations over the last ten days preceding tomorrows primary election. The over all data provides just over a 1.5% participation rate in early voting, or about 18 votes caste per day, countywide.

Allegany County has held early voting since 2019 per NYS law. Early voting numbers were much higher in the last election cycle as participation is dramatically higher in the US Presidential Election cycles.
