In a continuing ‘tale of two counties’, Allegany and Steuben counties have had much different experiences with this pandemic. Steuben County has suffered 140 deaths to date and has 5714 confirmed cases. Allegany County sits at nearly half that level of misery with 82 deaths and 2959 confirmed cases.
Today’s data released from Allegany County announced a rare, 0 positive test results on Friday 3/14/21. In Steuben County a micro cluster was announced as indicated by 33 new positive cases related to religious gatherings at the North Baptist Church in Corning. Anyone who attended church services or a gathering on March 7th or 8th is urged to get tested immediately regardless of symptoms.
