The weather warmed up just in time for a fundraiser Sunday at the Wellsville American Legion for the District IVr and Wellsville Republican Committee.
Volunteers served up bowls of a sweet chili and oyster stew in addition to a baked potato bar.
The two-hour event was well attended.
Members of the District IV committee (which served Wellsville and Andover in the legislative district) are, Joseph Decker and Daniel Ermer (Ward); Kevin LaForge and Virginia LaForge (Andover 1), Joseph Kent and Amanda Joyce-Phelps (Andover 2); Dean Arnold and Danielle Osgood (Wellsville 1); Robert Christman and Jared Heaney (Wellsville 2); Tammy Christman and Michael Roeske (Wellsville 3); Gregory McAndrew and Jessica Lynch (Wellsville 4); and Patricia Graves and Jacqueline Mason (Wellsville 5).
The Allegany County Republican Party has a few upcoming events including a trap shoot on May 2, a gold tournament on June 6 and the fall dinner on September 12.
