I write the words to share what my eyes see and my heart feels
Spring has sprung, the birds are chirping and flowers are in blossom, growing to brighten our days once again. Yesterday, my normal Wrambling writings, or publication, was/were not practical, nor possible for a number of reasons. Specifically, the two largest impediments to my writing were working on a landscaping project, and then as a result of a severe bout of vertigo. If you have ever suffered or endured “car or motion sickness,” or vertigo itself, and then magnify that by about 10, you would have a sense of how I was feeling. I had to work in 5 to 10 minute intervals and then lean against a wall or sit down before I was apt to fall.
April is National Poetry Month and sadly I was not able to participate in what I call the “JoAnne Allen Poetry Slam,” which was her dream child before her passing many years ago.
I don’t know if Andrew has enough “bandwidth” to handle the pictures I would like to be the feature of this piece but I will submit and hope for the best. I will also add the JoAnne Allen picture/poem as a single page while the others are displayed as a collage.
If you have any comments, questions or concerns regarding the poems or brevity of this Wrambling, feel free to contact email me at IM.Wiserdad@gmail.com.
A Love of Arts Her Legacy
She Was a Lady Who Loved Her Arts
And Sharing it Filled Many Hearts
Both Artistry, And Poetry
Her Life Was Like a Tapestry
She Served Her Town in Many Ways
She Loved The Arts Throughout Her Days
Eight Decades Plus Beyond Her Birth
She Blessed Us All Here On This Earth
For Forty Years Her Work Would Rule
The Offices at Wellsville School
Her Life Would Take On Many Parts
But None So Dear As In The Arts
She Left Behind Loved Family
And Too, To Us, A Legacy
For Joanne Allen, a lady whose life was indeed the arts
