Dunkirk, NY – December 3, 2023 – Southern Tier Catholic School boys’ basketball team kicked off their season Saturday against the Fredonia Hillbillies at the 20th Annual Northern Chautauqua Catholic School, Noto-Smith Memorial Basketball Tournament in Dunkirk. Although the Eagles were outpaced by the Hillbillies in a hard-fought opening matchup, STCS rebounded quicky in their second game on Sunday to edge out Chautauqua Christian Academy (Jamestown) by a score 34-28 in the 3rd place consolation game.
8th grader Sean Forney earned All-Tournament team honors for the Eagles.
