Wellsville man arrested for serious crimes, weapons

Wellsville Police arrested Donald G. Williams Jr, age 35 of Wellsville, charging him with Attempted Sexual Abuse 1st (Class D Felony) and Forcible Touching (Class A Misdemeanor).

In an unrelated incident, Williams was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (Class A Misdemeanor) and Harassment 2nd (Violation). The charges stem from an incident that took place on East Dyke Street. Williams was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Williams was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 property bond or $10,000.00 partially secured bond. Williams is due back in Wellsville Village Court on December 5th at 4:30 pm.

The Allegany County Sheriff reports that Williams was released on December 1st after posting bail.
