Great holiday pictures from local nursing homes

Saturday, April 1st, brought warm weather and sunny skies.  It was a great day for the young and old to enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt in the yard between The Wellsville Manor Nursing Home and Manor Hills Assisted Living off Bolivar Road in Wellsville.  The Activities Directors at both facilities planned the event and look forward to partnering on more events.  They hope that the Easter Egg Hunt will become an annual event.

Children with baskets held onto the hands of mothers and fathers as they made their way through the parking lots and greeted grandparents and great-grandparents lined up for the event. Many of the children were there with a grandparent visiting their parents. The yard was covered in colored plastic eggs filled with candy. The kids eagerly waited for the start of the event.

Sophia Gianis, of the  Wellsville Manor who formerly worked with children, was very supportive of the event.  She stated, “ it is wonderful that the facilities are  doing this.” The Easter Bunny was seated in a gazebo on the Manor Hills side with a basket of goodies for the children.  It was a fun way to kick-start April and celebrate Spring!
