The first-ever Wellsville varsity cheerleading team to win a Section V championship earned enough points to advance to the state championships today.

The team performs at 4:03 p.m., said coach Liz Huyler, and they left on Friday for Visions Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
On Thursday before a full capacity gym at the elementary school, the cheerleaders performed their routine for the community.

The other team members are Lily Ball, Madison Thompson, Kyleigh Morris, Marissa Weinhauer, Carissa White, Morgan Mattison, Eryn McDowell, Skylar Shutt, Abbie Lanphier, Lizzy Seely, Grace Howe, Ava Cole and Addy Clark.
