Audio: High speed chase ends in crash in Wellsville, ‘troopers have one at gunpoint, empty hands’

We have exclusive audio of a high-speed chase that may have started in Bolivar and ended in Wellsville.

Michael T. Baldwin is reporting a high-speed chase by the New York State Police that started on State Route 417 ended in the Wellsville near Miller Road.

Baldwin reports a driver crashed into a brick wall was held by gunpoint but is now in custody. The suspect was bleeding and police were on the scene and called for the Wellsville ambulance. Baldwin said the crash took place closer to McDonald’s on 417.

Baldwin said because it was a felony stop, police held him at gunpoint. Speeds were up to 90 miles per hour
