Allegany County: Code Blue "weather event," warming centers will be available

CODE BLUE WEATHER & WARMING CENTERS

The Crossroads Conference Center will open at 8:30am on Friday February 3

Due to the anticipated drop in temperatures for the upcoming three days, the Allegany County Office of Emergency Services is working with the Department of Social Services and other local Emergency Managers on the opening of warming centers should the need arise. We will be monitoring the weather and any power outages that may occur during this possible Code Blue weather event.

We have established a warming site at the Crossroads Conference Center, 6087 State Rt 19, Belmont, NY, for Friday, February 3, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. This location will also be available on Saturday, February 4, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. We will be announcing the opening of this location and any other(s) on our Facebook page, Allegany County Office of Emergency Management.
