Three teams earned 13 wins and a trip to Syracuse in March 2023

Yesterday the HS VEX Robotics Teams competed at a CABOCES VEX Qualifying Tournament at Cuba Rushford. All three teams had an impressive showing and were the first three teams chosen as alliance partners during the elimination round. Wellsville Team 14895B allied with Cuba Rushford’s team in the finals to emerge as tournament champions over the alliance of Wellsville Team 14895C and Belfast. Our teams also brought home multiple awards and recognitions:

Team 14895A – Design Award, 3rd Place in Skills

Team 14895B – Excellence Award, Tournament Champion, Skills Champion

Team 14895C – Tournament Finalists, 2nd Place in Skills

In three State Qualifying Tournaments this season, our teams combined to win:

• 13 total awards

• 11 of 12 State-Qualifying Awards were won by Wellsville teams across the three tournaments

• Finished 1, 2, and 3 in the Skills Challenge TWICE

• A Wellsville team (or teams) found themselves as a tournament champion in all three events

• All three teams currently rank at the Top-900 in the WORLD!!!

Congrats to our teams for an outstanding performance and a successful season. All three teams have earned a bid to the Northern NYS VRC Spin Up Championships on Saturday, March 11th, at The Oncenter Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center in Syracuse.
