“A.G. Twanger” releases third album, will play Music on the Lawn August 18
On Thursday August 18th, Music on the Lawn in Wellsville will be featuring singer songwriter A.G. Twanger (aka Andy Glanzman) and his band the Mystic Twangers. A.G. Twanger released his third full-length album and is now showcased on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora and other music streaming services. The Mystic Twangers will be playing music from their first three albums as well as a few new songs not yet recorded. The 5 pc band includes Trevor Bennett on drums, Mark McCarty on lap steel, Mark Mather on bass, Lucius Snowden on keyboards and A.G Twanger on guitar.
The latest album, called “Bitter Sweet “, can be searched for under A.G. Twanger on Spotify, etc. It includes 12 new tracks, mostly love songs and a few sad songs too. “Life can be bittersweet sometimes and I think this new album captures those sentiments,” said A.G Twanger. Songwriting comes naturally for A.G. who has more than 100 songs in his catalog. A.G. has released two other original full-length albums with his band. “The Lucky One” album, which was released last year, is also on Spotify and the other streaming services under the “Mystic Twangers” name. Both these albums and Mystic Twangers Vol. 1 can be streamed on the MysticTwangers.com website which also includes a listing of their upcoming shows.
“I love writing music. My inspiration comes from the situations going on in my own life as well as in the lives of my friends, acquaintances and of course,things going on in the world,” said A.G. Twanger. A.G has a long history playing and writing music. He began as a backup musician supporting other musical artists and did a few tours along the way. His first instrument is the bass but in the Mystic Twanger band he plays guitar, sings, and writes all the songs. “I fell in love with music when I saw the first Beatles live concert in NYC as a kid. I knew then that I wanted to play music…and I’m happy to say I’ve been doing it ever since. I feel very lucky to have music in my life. It’s a real gift. Right now, I am currently working on my 4th album and it should be completed by year end. This new one will feature all upbeat songs with a positive message. “I must say, I think we all need that right now”, said Twanger.
A.G Twanger and the Mystic Twanger songs are available to stream on Spotify, most other streaming services and on their website, MysticTwangers.com. CDs will be available on August 18th at Music on the Lawn in Wellsville.
