Popular county resident is battling brain cancer, benefit set for July 9th in Scio

By Andrew Harris

Allegany County is a small community and always prepared to help out a neighbor in need. Ted Seeley has neighbors, friends, co-workers, and family members all over the county and they are planning to help Ted in his fight with cancer. Ted was diagnosed on April 13th and organizers hope to help Ted with medical expenses and provide community support.

You can help Ted get through this rough patch by attending the benefit on July 9th from 10am – 3pm at the Scio Fire Hall. Carlin’s Chicken BBQ will be serving the meal but PRESALE dinner purchases are very important.

Call or text sisters Marcia Nupp at 928-5099 or Debbie Roberts 610-9630 or cousin Kristen Hand 610-3163 until July 2nd. The loving organizers of this event had this to say:

“We are fund raising for our brother Ted and his family. In the middle of April Ted was diagnosed with brain cancer. I cannot think of a single person who is loved by everyone he crosses paths with as Ted is. He is the epitome of a servant of Christ. He knows this diagnosis is for God’s glory and is strong through him. He is the most honest, genuine, and loving person I know. He NEVER complains in life in general and would never ask for help. Since we are older than him we can be the boss here and let those who love him help ❤ You all know he would not ask or expect help but this is something we can do to show him just how loved he is.”
