You can forgive store cashiers for not noticing fake $20 bills that were used to make purchases at a store in Scio.
The money looks and feels real, and unless you read the print on the bill, you would not notice it’s counterfeit.
The bill actually says “United States of Copy Money” and has a few copy money stamps. Because of the amount of real money with writing and stamps on it from people who had money, it looks regular.
The money in Scio was from the ATM and the store said the ATM was filled from the register.
The store manager was to be alerted. No word if they called troopers. An employee traded out the customer with real $20 bills.
