There are new Justices in place in the Town of Alma and the Village of Andover. It comes after a multi-year investigation into the now former Town of Alma Justice David Stilson who was condemned by the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
According to the Hon. Kevin M. Carter of the 8th Judicial District, The Honorable James Ames, current Town of Andover & Scio Justice has been named to replace the Hon. David Stilson until further notice.
The Honorable Davis Szucs, current Town of Friendship & Angelica Justice has been named to replace the Hon. David Stilson until further notice.
The recently re-elected town justice of Alma NY, David Stilson, has been the target of a lengthy investigation by the commission. Stilson has also been acting as an Associate Justice in the town of Andover NY. The news has reached the national media, with full page stories in the NY Daily News and the NY Post.
