Senate Majority Leader Visits the David A. Howe Library to talk infrastructure, broadband access
Our U.S Senator was in town Monday morning to meet with local leaders and development officials to discuss the infrastructure, specifically broadband internet access in Allegany County
With about a quarter of Allegany County homes lacking access to high-speed internet, Senator Schumer comes to Wellsville to make an important announcement, and make the case for the 1.5 trillion dollar bipartisan infrastructure plan. Schumer is expected to drive home the following themes while visiting New York’s least “connected” county, promising to bridge the existing “digital divide” with federal infrastructure funding.
- An Estimated 23.5% of Households Lack Access To High-Speed Internet
- Infrastructure Deal Includes Record Funding To Bring Fast & Affordable Internet To Underserved Communities In Rural & Urban Parts Of Southern Tier
- Closing The Digital Divide Will Fully Connect Southern Tier To The 21st Century Economy
Stay tuned to the Wellsville Sun for reports from the event by John Anderson later today.
