Share:

The Town of Alfred is issuing a notice about a pending public hearing regarding a special use permit involving a retail bakery on “Jericho Hill Road.” Anita Mattison, fearless leader of the Allegany County Office of the Aging, issues an important statement regarding a miscommunication in the recent edition of the Cuba Patriot. The Allegany County Health Department has announced a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for next week for those seeking the Pfizer jab.

ALLEGANY COUNTY SENIOR PICNIC WILL NOT BE HELD THIS YEAR

In the Cuba Patriot August 4-17 edition, under the Community Calendar, page 15, they inadvertently advertised that our annual Senior Picnic would be held on August 11, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. In the interest of the safety of our older adults, we regret to announce that the Allegany County Senior Picnic was not planned for this year. We greatly appreciate the ongoing support of this event, and we hope to see everyone next year.

The Allegany County Department of Health will be offering a Pfizer Vaccination Clinic on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the County Office Building in Belmont from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please bring some form of identification (Passport, Learner’s Permit, Driver’s License, Birth Certificate, Other form of Government ID) for birthdate verification when arriving for your vaccination. Please share the information with family and friends. For COVID-19 questions, please call the Allegany County Department of Health at 585-268-9250
