Update On Phillip m. Farren, Currently in Allegany County Jail for Murdering His Wife In 2020

It will be at least two more months before Phillip M. Farren of Buffalo returns to an Allegany County courtroom.

The 53-year-old man is accused of murdering and dismembering his wife at a home on Holdridge Road in the Town of Allen. On April 24, 2020, he was charged by Amity-based Troopers with second-degree Murder and first-degree Manslaughter. According to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the time, Farren had allegedly shot and killed the victim and was in the process of dismembering the victim’s body when Troopers arrived on scene.


Farren last appeared in court March 29th for an attorney conference to establish a scheduling order. He’ll return to court June 28th at 1 p.m. for an attorney conference. Judge Terry Parker is hearing the case.

Farren remains in the Allegany County jail. He is being held without bail.
