Hibernians help out again, Independence Historical Society benefits

The Allegany County Ancient Order of Hibernians made a recent donation to the Independence Historical Society (IHS)  at the IHS Headquarter and museum on Main Street in Whitesville, NY.   The Independence Historical Society needs a new heating system to update their very old one and the local Ancient Order of Hibernians Division stepped up to assist the IHS in their efforts to start raising funds for their new heating system.   .

Brian Cannon stated that the IHS has done an awesome job in preserving and uncovering artifacts about Historic Whitesville and the Town of Independence, NY including local Irish history.   The IHS Headquarters is located in the Old Catholic Church at 520 Main Street in Whitesville, NY that was donated to IHS by the Jim and Sandra Fitzpatrick and Family.
