The Town of Wellsville will hold a Budget Work Session on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Wellsville Municipal Airport at 2600 Tarantine Blvd, Wellsville, NY 14895. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the upcoming Town of Wellsville Budget for 2026.
TOWN OF WELLSVILLE IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING HMEO POSITION:
Good knowledge of the operation and maintenance of specialized heavy equipment such as loader, crawler, excavator, truck and trailer combination, etc.; demonstrates skill in the operation of such equipment; ability to make repairs; manual dexterity; good mechanical ability; visual acuity; ability to follow oral and written instructions; willingness to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions; reliability; industriousness; willingness to perform routine manual work; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in the operation of such motor equipment as trucks, utility or farm tractors, etc. and: (a) one year of the above experience was in the operation of specialized heavy motor equipment such as crawler, loader, grader, etc..; or (b) minimum of six (6) months training at a recognized training facility for HMEO.
Special Requirement for Acceptance of Application: Candidate must possess appropriate New York State Motor Vehicle License for equipment operated.
