“I do my homework and research, and I am not afraid to vote NO”
From Ricci for Legislator,
My name is John D. Ricci and I’m seeking re-election to the Legislature for District II; Towns of Amity, Clarksville, Cuba, Friendship and New Hudson.
As a current legislator, my committee assignments are Planning and Economic Development, Personnel, Budget and Ways and Means. I am the sole member of the Legislature to serve on the IDA Board of Directors, as well as the only legislator on the Special Negotiators Liaison Committee. I am also a member of the award-winning Allegany County Comprehensive Plan Committee (ACCPC), which is responsible for compiling county-wide information to implement a plan for future development. Having a thorough comprehensive plan is completely essential in securing potential state and federal grants, many of which we have been successful in obtaining in recent years.
I am seeking re-election to see some projects to fruition. To name just a few we are working on would be a sewer line, a sit down restaurant and a hotel at the crossroads (Gateway), building a new and sorely-needed DPW facility in Friendship, and finding a viable company to acquire the now vacant Great Lakes Cheese facility in Cuba. I also plan to help in any way needed to reach the goals of our newly created Economic Development Department.
I can promise all of my constituents that I routinely have, and will continue to regularly show up for meetings. I do my homework and research, and I am not afraid to vote NO if I feel something is not in your best interest.
I will be making my rounds shortly to personally speak with you and ask for your support. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns you would like to address with me, please feel free to email me at john.ricci@alleganyco.gov.
