The Fountain Arts Center invites you to support its mission to reach hearts through the arts on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024.  There are several ways to “give” to the arts center: buy tickets for the basket auction, donate on-line on The Fountain Arts Center Facebook page, enjoy a bowl of soup, purchase a piece of original art or an art print, drop a few dollars in the donation box.

The basket auction and art sale are being held from 10:30AM – 3:30PM on Tuesday, December 3 at The Fountain Arts Center, 40 Schuyler St., Belmont, NY.  There will also be a presale on Small Business Saturday, November 30 from 11AM – 3PM.  Auction winners will be selected at 3:30 on Tuesday, December 3.  A Soup Lunch Special is also being offered Tuesday from 11:30 – 1:30 with Eat-In or Take-out Options.  Shoppers and diners will be able to enjoy the music of the youth choir as they rehearse for their upcoming Christmas Concerts to be held at Houghton Academy on Friday, December 20 at 7PM, and Wellsville Full Gospel Church on Sunday December 22 at 4PM.

Reaching hearts through the arts is the mission of The Fountain Arts Center.  Through its art and music programs, the center has provided educational cultural experiences for more than 100 participants, and opportunities for performances and exhibitions.  Its empowering activities have impacted not only the lives of its students, but the communities of the Twin Tiers as well.  The Fountain Arts Center is a bright light shining in a rural area to provide accessibility to the arts.

Post Covid, the arts center increased its focus on music programming, which includes an enthusiastic and talented youth choir made up of dozens of children from all over Allegany County.  Music lessons are also offered on a variety of instruments, and in several formats – individual, ensembles, and a community orchestra.

In addition to the support of families, friends, and sponsors, these projects are made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrants program of the New York State Council for the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered in Allegany and Wyoming Counties by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
