 Wellsville Business and Professional Women awarded three $500 scholarships

Wesche, Robarts, and Nickerson are headed to college this fall

From the Wellsville Business and Professional Women Club,

The BPW Club awarded $500 each to Scio High School graduates Eli Wesche and Tyler Nickerson.

Eli Wesche is going to Stoney Brook as a Nursing Major and Tyler Nickerson is a Physical Therapy Major at Daemen University.

The BPW also awarded a third $500 scholarship to an adult learner Bridget Roberts  She is attending Bryant and Straton College to attain an Associate’s Degree in the Medical Billing and Coding Program.

The Wellsville Business and Professional Women Club was started in 1924 by four women and today they have about 30 active members from Wellsville and surrounding towns.  The BPW club consists of the Olive Twig of the Jones Memorial Hospital.  BPW scholarships have been given every year since 1969 to help high school graduates attend college.
