Eli Wesche and Gregory Wesche lead the class

SCIO, NY – Scio Central School has announced that Eli Wesche is the class of 2024 Valedictorian and Gregory Wesche is the salutatorian.
Eli is the son of Amber Wesche and Robert Wade. He has a GPA of 98.02 and will receive an Advanced Regents Diploma with mastery in Math and Science. Gregory is the son of Gregory and Barbara Wesche. He has a GPA of 96.35 and will graduate with an Advanced Regents diploma.
Throughout his time at Scio Central School, Eli has received a variety of awards and honors including the Clarkson University Achievement Award, RIT Science and Math Award, Principal’s A.B.L.E. Award, and several academic pins and letter. One of the district’s top musicians, Eli participated in Solo Fest, All-County Band and the jazz band.
He has also been involved in extracurriculars including volleyball, NHS, SADD, History Club, Foreign Language Club, Journalism, and was the ex-officio member of the School Board of Education. In the fall, Eli will be attending the nursing program at Stony Brook University
Gregory’s academic achievements include receiving several academic pins, the Academic Achievement Award, Principal’s A.B.L.E. Award, Academic Letter Award, University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award, St. Bonaventure University Bonnie Scholar, Clarkson University Achievement Award, and RIT Business and Leadership Award. In addition, he has played modified and varsity soccer and varsity track. After graduation, Gregory will serve in the United States Army.
