Grand jury indicts Wellsville woman for violent attack in August

Defendant’s Name: Gabriel A. Babbitt

Address: Wellsville, New York

Charges:      Burglary 1st (B violent felony);

Assault 2nd (D felony);

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (A misdemeanor)

Court Appearance Date: September 7, 2022

Proceedings: An Allegany County Grand Jury has indicted Gabriel A. Babbitt on three charges, including a top charge of Burglary in the First Degree, a class B violent felony. The defendant is accused of unlawfully entering a home in the Village of Wellsville on August 21st and injuring someone within the home. Ms. Babbitt is currently being held on bail in the Allegany County Jail.
