Honoring Medical Staff & Associates May 13 – 17

From UR Jones Memorial Hospital,

WELLSVILLE, NY (May 6, 2024) — Jones Memorial Hospital is preparing for the annual Hospital Week which will run from May 13-17 this year. In partnership with the American Hospital Association, Hospital Week is a way to highlight hospitals, health systems and health care workers and the innovative ways they are supporting and connecting to the community.

Jones has recently celebrated a major transformation and expansion project, opening a third floor Medical Village, static MRI Suite with state of the art, wide bore MRI technology as well as adding five thousand additional square feet to the OR units. The hospital has also brought mammography back to the region, installing a 3D tomosynthesis unit within a convenient, new women’s health imaging suite. Hospital Week is another chance to celebrate these incredible accomplishments and recognize the hard work of the associates, while thanking the greater community for their continuous support. Jones Memorial will continue to look for innovative ways to bring advanced healthcare to the rural communities.

According to Jim Helms, CEO, “We celebrate Hospital Week to recognize our medical staff and associates and all caregivers who repeatedly rise to the occasion to serve this community. We think it is essential that others see the impact that hospitals make on communities, not just for greater access of care but also jobs, and the economy. We’re proud to serve this region.”

The highlight of hospital week will be the Employee Awards dinner which will take place on Wednesday, May 15th. Associates with at least 5 years of service will be recognized at this event. There will be 47 associates recognized for a total of 475 years of service.
