Basket raffle will benefit high school seniors headed into the healthcare field

From the Independence Emergency Squad,

Independence Emergency Squad, Inc. (IES) is an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency that has served our community through volunteerism for over forty-five years. Our members decided it was time to offer a yearly scholarship for a senior at the Whitesville Central School who is pursuing a career in the health care field.

As part of the fundraising campaign, the Whitesville Public Library has offered us an opportunity to hold a basket raffle during their bi-annual craft and vendor show being held on Saturday, May 11th at the Whitesville Fire Hall. IES is requesting a raffle basket, gift card, or a cash donation for this event from businesses, organizations, and individuals. A cash donation will be used to purchase items for a themed basket.

All contributors’ names will be boldly placed with the basket or gift card for the public to recognize your generous donation. Baskets/Gift Cards/Cash will be needed a few days before the event so IES can list the donor’s names and post their baskets on our Facebook page.

For any questions or pickup/drop-off information about a donation please contact IES Chief, Cheryl Graves (585 610-9823) or IES President, Dennis Graves (585 610-5163). We look forward to hearing from you.
