Cuba-Friendship Lodge No. 306 expresses its sincere appreciation to all attendees who made the inaugural “Meet a Mason” day on Saturday, February 24th, a resounding success. The event, held at our historic location on 3 East Main St in the Village of Cuba, NY, provided an invaluable opportunity for community members to engage with our dedicated Brothers and explore the rich history and principles of the Free and Accepted Masons.

The event, which took place from 2 to 4 PM, welcomed curious minds and those seeking to learn more about the oldest fraternal organization in the world, dating back some 3,000 years. Local Brothers were on hand to graciously answer questions and share insights into the organization’s enduring commitment to principles, community service, and individual excellence.

Cuba-Friendship Lodge No. 306, with an unbroken history spanning 198 years since its charter on June 8, 1825, stands as a pillar in the community. Rooted in the American Revolutionary era, Freemasonry has played a crucial role in shaping the development of the Cuba community. The Lodge continues to be a positive force, providing leadership, promoting a principled way of life, and emphasizing a system of values that fosters social benevolence.

Our commitment to community support is reflected in our annual donations to local charities, churches, scout troops, and scholarships for the local high school. The Lodge also actively participates in community events, hosting gatherings and contributing time and manpower to initiatives such as the Boy Scout Birthday breakfast and volunteering at the VA Hospital in Bath.

The overwhelming success of “Meet a Mason” day is a testament to the shared interest and enthusiasm of our community. Cuba-Friendship Lodge No. 306 extends heartfelt gratitude to all who attended, contributing to the event’s success and reinforcing the bonds that connect us as neighbors and community members.
