Would you like to grow your own asparagus and rhubarb? have you tried before but not having any luck with it? This workshop is for you!

Why asparagus and rhubarb? Both asparagus and rhubarb offer a multitude of benefits – from their delightful flavors that can enhance your culinary creations to their nutritional value. Moreover, once established, they can provide you with bountiful harvests year after year with the right care. And what’s even more exciting? They’re perfectly suited to the climate and soil conditions in New York State!

Workshop highlights:

  • Understanding your garden and how to prepare it for asparagus and rhubarb.
  • Planting Techniques for planting asparagus crowns and rhubarb rhizomes.
  • Care and Maintenance: watering, fertilizing, and mulching techniques tailored to these crops.
  • Harvesting: knowing when and how to harvest for maximum yield and quality.
  • Troubleshooting: identifying and managing common pests and diseases.
  • Beyond the Garden: Tips for storage and a few delightful recipes to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener looking to expand your repertoire or a novice eager to get your hands dirty and learn, this workshop is designed to provide valuable insights for all.
