WENY: Phyllis Potter search ends in Brookfield Township PA, vehicle and likely remains found

Elderly woman disappeared this summer from her Tioga County Pennsylvania home

The disappearance of an 85 year old woman this past July near Westfield, Pennsylvania caused a massive search and rescue operation. State police, search and rescue teams, private individuals, and private drone operators have been looking for Phyllis or her white Subaru for months without any luck.

Just as speculation that she had driven well outside of the focused search area began to seem more likely, it seems she was found on a remote road near her home. WENY reports that the subaru and human remains nearby were found in Brookfield PA, near her last known whereabouts.

Authorities have not officially confirmed that remains were Potter’s but have confirmed that it was her Subaru Outback. Read the full scoop from WENY Elmira:
