Wellsville Village Police make two felony arrests

All those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty

Thursday October 19, 2023

Wellsville Police arrested William C. White, age 53 of Olean, charging him with a Sex Offender Registry Violation (Class E Felony) for failing to report a change of address. White was processed and arraigned before Town of Wellsville Justice Graves. White was released under pre-trial release supervision with the Allegany County Probation Department. White is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 19th at 4:30 pm.


Wellsville Police arrested Rachael E. Rix, age 34 of Wellsville, charging her with Reckless Endangerment 1st (Class D Felony), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (Class D Felony), Aggravated Family Offense (Class E Felony) and Menacing 2nd (Class A Misdemeanor). The charges stem from an incident that took place on Early Street. Rix was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Rix was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000.00 property bond or $20,000.00 property bond. Rix is due back in Wellsville Village Court on November 7th at 4:30 pm.
