Meet the artist and tour the home studio this Saturday and Sunday

By Andrew Harris

If you are interested in local art, and the people behind the work, then don’t miss a stop at this emerging Wellsville art studio. Amber Schuson has a growing, and always evolving collection available for enjoyment in her unique studio, or purchase for your home.

Schuson is excited to invite the community into her studio on East Pearl Street. Her interesting location is worth the visit alone! Amber has built a gallery into her creekside home that was the residence of legendary Wellsville builder Daniel Babbage, an artist in his own right. Artistic energy beams from the property!

The studio will be open to the public on Saturday October 14 and Sunday October 15 from 10am until 5pm. The studio is located on 220 East Pearl Street, just off Madison Street in downtown Wellsville.

Everyone who stops by the studio this weekend can enter into a raffle and win this amazing creation by Amber:

Schuson can’t be “painted into a box,” to be cliche about it. Amber is a painter and a sculpturer, also works with glass and does fabric work. For this showing, she will be featuring paintings and glasswork as seen in the gallery below. The artist will have, “a few artistic functional things like trinket dishes and memo holders,” for visitors to purchase at very reasonable prices.

*Note, Amber Schuson Arts is not a participating artist in this years Allegany Artisan Tour, also this weekend. Amber did apply to be included, but was declined due to lack of a local presence. So she’s having her own gallery opening and she hopes you will support her and all other local artists!

Amber’s art is always available at the Little Gem on Main Street Wellsville
