Wellsville has a chance at $4.5 million in state grants, see who applied

Wednesday August 23rd is a public workshop to discuss proposed projects

The process of selecting projects that qualify for some of the $4.5 million dollars which Wellsville was awarded is underway. This Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30pm at the Wellsville High School Cafeteria will be an open public forum to discuss the projects that have been submitted.

When this opportunity was presented to the village by the NY Forward program, state money handlers made it clear: This money is for transformative projects; big ideas, projects that will create more value than they cost.

NY Forward asked the community to submit over $10 million dollars in proposed projects that wanted to compete for the $4.5 million dollar award. According to the local committee charged with rounding up the applications, more than $20 million in proposed projects have been submitted. Read the list of those projects below:
