Wellsville man who was wanted by NY State Police arrested in Angelica, faces ten charges

Niko Greenman charged with felony burglary and contempt

A story that started out with a large NY State Police presence in the village of Wellsville has ended with an arrest in the village of Angelica. After a domestic incident in Wellsville, state police requested Allegany County Sheriff Department assistance with a search using a specialized drone.

After that search for Niko Greenman, age 34, was unsuccessful, speculation amongst residents led the NY State Police to issue a Be On the Lookout(BOLO.) Within a day, police reported that Greenman had been located.

This morning the arrest details provide insight what happened. Greenman was charged with four counts of Criminal contempt for disobeying a court order, two charges of aggravated harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief, and acting in a manner injurous to a child.

Two felony charges were also levied against Greenman, 2nd degree burglarly of a dwelling and 1st degree criminal contempt with physical contact. Police report that Greenman was held and currently incarcerated in the Allegany County Jail on $200,000 bond or $100,000 cash bail.
