ACCS will be at the Scio Bi-Centennial August 11-12
The Board of Directors of the Allegany County Cancer Services wish to notify the residents of Allegany County that we still are here to assist county residents who have been afflicted by this disease. Since our start in 2007 we have helped over 853 clients through our gas card program with more than $398,400 through May 2023. We are a non-profit organization that relies totally on fundraising and donations to serve our clients. All Board and committee members are from throughout the county who volunteer their time and talents, so the only expenses are a few office and fundraising supplies.
Our plans for the upcoming Scio Bi-centennial celebration on August 11th and 12th is to have an information table at the Scio Bi-centennial celebration on E. Sciota St. We are also planning an event in October. There are also benefits or donations sponsored by local organizations or people that are extremely important to our cause.
We are always looking for volunteers from anywhere in the county to join our event committees for assistance on our events. Please feel free to contact one of the Board of Directors listed in our web information if you are interested in service on the board or in any other capacity.
