The red sedan took off with some personal favorites before driving right past the Wellsville Police Department. The audio below provides insight into an interesting apprehension. Longtime Dispatcher Chris Perkins can clearly be heard identifying the car drive by from inside the station:
As the vandal thieves were being arrested by officers, Chief of Police Timothy O’Grady varifies that the suspect did leave a torch behind and which was secured that at the scene of the crime.
According to the Wellsville Police Department the man was arrested for Petit Larceny and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released for a future date in village court.
