The New York State cannabis industry is finally growing as a new sector of the economy. Licensed growers have been quietly creating inventory and the Office of Cannabis Management seems to moving at a quicker pace. They announced the opening of two new Buffalo area dispensaries, Dank716 at 501 Main Street in the city proper and HerbalIQ in Depew.

Dank716 is a traditional style-dispensary opened by an entrepreuner who spent six years in prison for selling cannabis. According to their website:

“Dank716 is your go-to shop for recreational cannabis throughout Buffalo NY, and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in offering great service & even better education to the cannabis industry. Working with only highly rated growers, we have carefully curated a high-quality selection of products to include on our shelves. Shop with us in person at our Buffalo NY location, or online with in-store pickup.”

One of the feature product lines Dank716 is selling comes from Bison Botanics, a Kenmore NY producer. Visit the website for more information on the Nickel City’s first legal cannabis retailer.

Just outside the city proper, another new licensed dispensary has opened, but with a focus on the medicinal benefits of cannabis. HerbalIQ describes their mission:

“Our service was established to provide quality products with compassion and convenience.  Our mission is to provide an alternative, natural way of healing without using industrialized pharmaceuticals.”

Information about HerbalIQ is somewhat limited because they just opened the doors to the public. The dispensary seems to have a strong connection to a NY cannabis farm, Aryloom. Which boasts of over 100 years farming experience and offers some interesting new product innovations like infused sparkling water and edibles made with a new improved blending technology called “nanoemulsion.” You can follow that farm on Instagram or at

HerbalIQ is located 6061 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043 716-602-2557
