EMRD’s Hellbilly Heartbreakers, Olean’s local team competing in the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association, had a bout Saturday night at the William O Smith Recreation Center.  The visiting team was Burning River Roller Derby from Cleveland, Ohio.  The local team was tenacious in their defense and executed their jams very well in a 224-145 win.  A nice crowd was on hand to see the Heartbreaker ladies skate off with the victory.

Dali Dagger was named top Jammer and Kimchi Killa was named top blocker for the Heartbreakers (chosen by the opposing team members).

In the this photo, The Heartbreaker’s “Baby Face” has blocked the Burning River Jammer “Sure Shot” to the floor while the Heartbreaker’s Jammer “Kimchi Killa” gets a great block from “Tiff 4 Tat” to spring her out on the Jam.

In this second photo, the Heartbreaker’s “Dizzy Izzy” and “Full Metal Jackie” double team the Burning River Jammer, preventing her from scoring points.

And in the last photo, Heartbreaker’s Jammer “Allie Ka-Slam”, sporting a big smile, breaks out of the pack to score some points.

The team’s next home bout is July 8 against the Warrin’ Wrecking Dolls.  All home bouts are at 6:30 PM at the Recreation Center.  Doors open at 6:00.

Dan Jordan of Jordan Photography and Consulting is the official photographer of the EMRD and handles some marketing for the team as well.
