National Flag Day in Wellsville June 14

Bring your worn or tattered US Flag to the American Legion for proper disposal

From the Morrison Hayes Post 702 Wellsville American Legion,

Flag Day, also called National Flag Day, in the United States, a day honoring the national flag, observed on June 14.  The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise. The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.

Wellsville American Legion at 23 Jefferson Street, Wellsville, NY will be accepting worn or tattered flags until 5PM on 6/14/23 for proper disposal at Flag Day services to be held on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 at 5:30pm at the Wellsville Rod and Gun club. The Post 702 American Legion Riders will  be escorting the flags to the R&G club for proper disposal.

This service is open to the public and we encourage all to attend.
