All suspects in the case were Monroe County residents
Michael T. Baldwin Reports,
There was a tense situation in the Town of Clarksville Monday night. Troopers were alerted to a possible domestic dispute, in an area with limited cell phone service. According to radio reports, there was a woman inside a cabin with two men outside shooting guns. State Police established a perimeter and brought in additional resources including more uniformed troopers, BCI and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office with a drone. The situation ended about 90 minutes later with an arrest.
Again, radio reports indicate all involved were from Monroe County. At 9:28 p.m. troopers arrested Wayne S. Scheid, 47, of Greece, NY. He was charged with felony assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, felony criminal possession of a weapon as a convicted felon and second-degree menacing with a weapon. He was arraigned and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Deputies said Tuesday morning Scheid was in custody without bail. The investigation continues.
