10am Color Run, or Walk begins and ends in Island Park
The Wellsville YMCA will host a great day for kids at Island Park

This Saturday, May 6th, the Wellsville YMCA is holding its 3rd Annual Color Run and Walk. Participants can choose from a 5K or 2K run, or a 2-mile walk. Check-In will open at 9am. Race starts at 10am!
Along the way, runners will pass “color stations” where volunteers will throw colored powder. The cost is $20 per runner and children 10 and under are free.
New this year the run will begin and end at Island Park, and will be followed by YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®. Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. For over 30 years, YMCAs and their communities have hosted free community events aimed to inspire kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active throughout the summer months and beyond. “The Color Run is becoming one of the most fun events that we put on here at the Wellsville YMCA”, notes Tyler Green, Associate Executive Director of the Wellsville YMCA. “It’s awesome that we have such a collaborative team that works incredibly hard to put on big events like this for our community. Incorporating this fun run/walk with Healthy Kids Day just made sense!
