The  Monday Club of Wellsville gathered on May 1st, (a Monday) for their Spring Tea and a celebration of its 130th year.  President Theresa Brown welcomed the ladies and guests, and in recognition of the event, a proclamation was read by Mayor Randy Shayler and plaque presented to the Club, received by Tea Chairwoman, Alice Stevens .

The women enjoyed the formal tea with a special birthday cake, delicious cookies, sweets and nuts.  Amanda Robbins provided lovely background piano music while the ladies visited.  The Exhibition Room of the Library was especially well suited for the celebration with its display of “turn of the century” art works, the same period as founding of the club. Many women wore hats and dresses from earlier decades in honor of the historic event.
